Ford OBS 05+ Axle Swap Kit (4-7" Lift)

The BDD Ford OBS 05+ Axle Swap Kit (4-7" Lift) is designed to convert 1992-1997 Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks to a 2005+ Super Duty front axle and coil spring suspension. This bolt-on axle swap system provides the core brackets and steering components needed to install the newer Super Duty front suspension while making the conversion as straightforward as possible.

Designed specifically around the OBS Ford frame, the brackets utilize existing factory mounting locations wherever possible, with only a limited number of additional holes required. All brackets are constructed from 1/4" pickled and oiled (P&O) steel, CNC cut, precision bent, and fully MIG welded.

This kit is designed for trucks running 4-7" of lift and includes a BDD drop track bar bracket and drop pitman arm to help maintain proper steering and track bar geometry. The track bar bracket is designed to retain the OEM 2005+ Super Duty track bar, eliminating the need for an aftermarket adjustable track bar in compatible applications.

2WD OBS Axle Swap Option

Our 2WD option allows OBS 2WD trucks to be converted to the 2005+ Super Duty front axle and coil spring suspension while utilizing as many existing frame holes as possible.

With the 2WD configuration, installation requires only two additional holes per coil bucket and three additional holes per radius arm bracket, reducing the amount of frame drilling required for the conversion.

• F-150, Bronco, 1980-1991, and 2WD applications require additional holes to be drilled
• ZF5-equipped trucks require crossmember modification
• Minor engine crossmember trimming may be required for track bar clearance, approximately 1/16"-1/4"

Important Lift Kit Information

This is an axle swap conversion kit and is not a complete lift kit. It allows the 2005+ Super Duty axle and suspension components to be installed under the OBS Ford and used with compatible aftermarket lift components.

To complete the suspension setup, you will also need the appropriate 4-7" coil springs, shocks, and radius arm solution, such as compatible drop radius arm brackets or BDD Fabricated Radius Arms.
